Harbin & the HIT Snow Structure Festival
“Tracing Harbin · Ice & Snow Futures” links Harbin’s century-old urban fabric with forward-looking innovation:
- Tracing Harbin: fieldwork in historic districts (e.g., Central Street, St. Sophia environs) to explore the interplay of architecture and winter landscapes.
- Ice & Snow Futures: cross-disciplinary studios on construction techniques, cultural IP, and sustainable industry pathways for ice-and-snow economies.
The program adopts a co-teaching + cross-cultural teams + international exhibition model to deepen collaboration between HIT and global partners while showcasing outcomes to academia and industry.
