Rafael Moneo. Una manera de enseñar arquitectura

This publication brings together all the exercises, annotations and doctoral lessons that Professor Rafael Moneo taught as Professor of Elements of Composition at the ETSAB between 1971 and 1976. Admitting a possible "way" from which the author uses the story as a critical basis for his teaching project, Moneo insists on the preface of this edition on the value of the idea of architecture that appears in its pages: "Still today I would subscribe these quotes taken from the statements of the exercises, which implies admitting that despite the radical transformations that have taken place over the years, the idea of architecture that was defended is still valid". Thus, the work of Le Corbusier, Tessenow, Mies van der Rohe, Wright, Hejduk, Voysey, Giurgola, Rietveld, Kahn, Meier, Krier or Rossi, to name a few of those who have starred in the last hundred years of architecture, it makes its way among the students, while rescuing "the memory of a past that we still see close and that, however, may already belong only to historians".
