L’11a Biennal Internacional de Paisatge de Barcelona se celebrarà virtualment i debatrà solucions per afrontar la mitigació del canvi climàtic amb professionals i activistes del paisatge i l’arquitectura

• El certamen, que tindrà lloc del 27 de setembre al 2 d’octubre, se celebrarà virtualment.

• Inclou un simposi, el Premi Internacional de Paisatge Rosa Barba-Fundació Banc Sabadell i el Premi Internacional de les Escoles de Paisatge -Fundació Banc Sabadell.

• El lema del simposi “Canvi climàtic, altra cop: Ciutat i Natura”, posa en valor el paisatge com a eina per fer front a l’emergència climàtica.

• Entre els 42 experts que assistiran a la Biennal destaquen l’estatunidenca paisatgista i activista del clima Martha Schwartz, l’escriptor i jardiner francès Gilles Clement, i l’arquitecte autor del Brooklyn Bridge Park de Nova York, Michael Van Valkenburgh, entre d’altres.

Barcelona, a 2 de setembre de 2021.- Del 27 de setembre al 2 d’octubre de 2021 té lloc una nova edició de la Biennal Internacional de Paisatge de Barcelona, que acollirà el simposi “Canvi climàtic, altra cop: Ciutat i Natura”, per reflexionar sobre la importància del paisatge en la mitigació del canvi climàtic, així com el Premi Internacional de Paisatge Rosa Barba - Fundació Banc Sabadell i el Premi Internacional de les Escoles de Paisatge - Fundació Banc Sabadell.

La cita, aglutinarà, un any més, professionals i experts del paisatgisme i l’arquitectura en un congrés que s’ha convertit en una referència a escala internacional.  El simposi comptarà amb 8 convidats destacats que proposaran eines per afrontar l’emergència climàtica i també hi participaran els autors/es dels 11 projectes paisatgístics finalistes del prestigiós Premi Internacional de Paisatge Rosa Barba, així com els representants de les 8 escoles finalistes del Premi Internacional de les Escoles de Paisatge.

Durant la Biennal també es presentarà el Llibre-catàleg de la 10a Biennal Internacional de Paisatge celebrada l’any 2018. L’Escola d’Arquitectura (ETSAB) de la UPC acollirà l’exposició dels finalistes d’ambdós premis.

• Entre los 42 expertos que asistirán a la Bienal destacan la estadounidense paisajista y activista del clima Martha Schwartz, el escritor y jardinero francés Gilles Clément, y el arquitecto autor del Brooklyn Bridge Park de Nueva York, Michael Van Valkenburgh, entre otros.

The 11th International Landscape Biennial of Barcelona will be held online and will discuss solutions to address climate change mitigation with professionals and activists of landscape and architecture

• The contest, which will take place from the 27th of September to the 2nd of October, will be held virtually.

• It will include a symposium, the Rosa Barba International Landscape Award and the International Landscape Schools Award - Banco Sabadell Foundation.

• The motto of the symposium "Climate change, again: City and Nature", highlights the use of landscape as a tool to face the climate emergency.

• Among the 42 experts who will attend the Biennial are the American landscaper and climate activist Martha Schwartz, the French writer and gardener Gilles Clément, and the architect author of Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York, Michael Van Valkenburgh.

Barcelona, September 1, 2021.- From the 27^th of September to the 2^nd of October, 2021 a new edition of the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture of Barcelona will take place, which will host the symposium "Climate change, again: City and Nature" to reflect on the importance of landscape in reducing climate change, as well as the Rosa Barba International Landscape Award and the International Landscape Schools Award - Banco Sabadell Foundation.

The event will, let another year, bring together professionals and experts in landscaping and architecture in a congress that has become a reference on an international scale. The symposium will have 8 renowned guests who will explain tools to face the climate emergency, the authors of the 11 finalist landscape projects of the prestigious Rosa Barba International Landscape Award and, last but not least, representatives of the 8 finalist schools of the Award.
