Degree in Landscape

Landscape Degree

The Landscape Degree will be taught in our school (240 credits – 4 years) from the academic year 2019-2020. The teaching will be distributed almost equally between the ETSAB (Barcelona’s School of Architecture) and the EEABB (Barcelona’s School of Agri-Food Biosystems Engineering) both belonging to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

The goal we pretend for you, as a student, to acquire in this degree is having the necessary scientific and technological knowledge to work as a landscaper. Since the planning to the design, this degree will allow you to work on the landscape projects and green spaces (public spaces, urban spaces, outdoor spaces, restoration and rehabilitation of ecosystems and natural heritage, in new territorial uses...) and in their management, execution and maintenance.

Our territories are suffering, environmental and physical. That’s why Landscaping is a concept of the future and that’s why there is an essential need to lead the changes of improving our territories in the future.

The curriculum is designed according to the generic and specific competences of the Common Training Framework of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), IFLA-EU, and the Eclair Guidance on Landscape Architecture Education of the Tuning Landscape Architecture Education in Europe, Eclair / LE-NOTRE.

The curriculum is based on the theoretical-practical balance, the visits, and the goal of a proactive learning. International mobility is foreseen, practical training supported by professional practices, tutoring and preparation for different professional opportunities.

The new Landscape Degree is backed by years of teaching experience in post-graduate courses that are a reference in the world.
