Enrolment order regulation

Degree in Architecture Studies structure plan is clearly marked by each course thematic, in a way that results fundamental for establishing the coordination between different existing subjects in a student critical mass who go forward horizontally, it means, course by course and in the established time all along the study.

In order to strengthen this coordination and, as much as it's possible, the student can be enroled in a unique group or turn by course, the enrolment process it's organized prioritizing the following groups:

  1. Students that have approved in the first announcement all the subjects belonging to a specific course and in a unique academic course throughout his/her studies
  2. Students that have approved in the first announcement the higher percentage of credits of and in a unique academic course throughout his/her studies.   

In this aspect, it defines the next table:

Each cell's value indicates the ECTS % approved with qualification >= 5 of each course and approved in the first announcement. Value 0% means that have never attended or enrol any subject from that course. Won't be included in the elective credit calculation. Where:

  • (95-5) % indicate that the student has an ECTS % approved of that course with qualification >= 5 and in the first announcement between 5 and 95%. In this case, students will be sorted in descending order of this value.    

Enrolment order criteria

A. STUDENT FROM NEW ACCES: will be sorted by descending order, starting from the qualifications of access to the studies. The student who chooses to enroll in the morning groups, will be distributed among the different groups, depending on their qualifications.

B.  THE REST OF STUDENTS: will be sorted according to next aspects:

  • In the first place, according to table 1. In case of a tie, will be sorted according to the following criteria:
    1. By descending order according to the previous course performance calculated as approved credits (qualification >=5) about enrolled credits where recognized or recognited credits are not included.
    2. By descending order of evaluated media qualification of all the subjects with regulation 0.01.

     

  • In the second place, the rest of students that not fulfill the requirements of table 1, will be sorted by descending order of the course in a way that it's considerate to belong to the lowest ordinal project course that must surpass (qualification <5, NP or not taken). In the case of a tie, will be sorted according to the next criteria:
    1. By descending order according to the previous course performance calculated as approved credits (qualification >=5) about enrolled credits where recognized or recognited credits are not included.
    2. By descending order of evaluated media qualification of all the subjects approved with regulation 0.001.

Only to the effects of this regulation, subjects that are pending of qualification from the students who are attending mobility stay will be considerate approved. 

TRANSITIONAL MODIFICATION OF ETSAB REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES COURSE 2023-24

In order to mitigate possible negative consequences due to the drop in the academic performance of the student body, caused by the impact of the strike of the associate lecturers during the second semester of the academic year 2022-23, the School Board of 28 June 2023 approves, in relation to the criteria established in the regulations of the enrolment order:

in case of a tie, the following shall not be taken into account: (...) by descending order according to the previous course performance calculated as approved credits (qualification >=5) about enrolled credits where recognized or recognited credits are not included.(...)

This measure will apply to the calculation of the order of enrolment for the academic year 2023-24 and will not take effect for the academic year 2024-25.
