These regulations, which are complementary to the General Academic Regulations of the UPC's Bachelor's and Master's Studies, regulate access to the Degree in Architecture Studies at the ETSAB for students who:

  1. Have started studies adapted to the EHEA in the field of architecture and want to change them for the Degree in Architecture Studies at the ETSAB.
  2. Have started different degree studies in Architecture and want to change them for the degree studies in Architecture to the ETSAB.You have not finished studies of Architecture according to previous university regulations (not of degree) and you want to change them for those of Degree in Architecture Studies to the ETSAB.
  3. Students who have not finished their studies in Architecture in accordance with previous university orders (not the degree) may be admitted by this way:

May be admitted by this procedure the student who:

  • Is in a position to obtain the minimum recognition of 30 credits.
  • Is not affected by the rules of stay in the studies of origin, if these have been studied at the UPC. Otherwise, a place will have to be obtained through the pre-enrolment process.
  • In any case, access by this procedure will imply the closure of the original file. Therefore, the graduates, those who are in a position to obtain the degree or who want to study simultaneously, must obtain a place through the pre-registration process.
  • The Director of ETSAB adopts the admission resolutions by this route, by delegation of the Rector and in accordance with the proposal issued by the Recognition Committee, formed by expert teachers in the different subjects of the study plan, which will be presided over by the Head of Studies or Deputy Director to whom he or she delegates.
  • Candidates must be admitted by the School in accordance with the number of places established and according to the following basic criteria: studies belonging to the same branch of knowledge, the academic record and the quality of the work portfolio; in order to establish an order of acceptance of transfers, priority will be given to the fewest credits remaining to complete the studies.
  • The amount corresponding to the transfer fee must be paid. The fee will be paid once all the documentation has been delivered and reviewed and is a necessary requirement for the initiation of the transfer study and the processing of the dossier.
  • The formalization of the registration by the student implies the acceptance of the proposal of the recognized subjects in the terms foreseen in the resolution.

Documentation required

  1. Application form addressed to the ETSAB Director duly completed
  2. Copy of DNI, NIE or passport.
  3. Transcrip of records issued by the home institution where the university entrance qualification is stated.
  4. Study plan published and stamped by the centre of origin.
  5. Programmes of the subjects passed stamped by the centre of origin..
  6. In the application form you must indicate the link to a digital portfolio containing a selection of academic graphic works (drawing, projects, town planning),
The Commission will only be able to assess the subjects that appear as successfully passed in the transcrip of records submitted.

How do I submit my application and documentation?

- An application form must be submitted to the UPC Electronic Office

 Once the application has been submitted

- The ETSAB Office will review the documentation, once the UPC register sends it to us.

- If the documentation is complete and correct, you will be informed on how to pay the transfer study fee.

- Admitted students will be informed about enrolment and other procedures.

  Available places

The number of places to access the Degree in Architecture Studies for the academic year 2025-26 is set at:

  • 2 places for the first year (in conjunction with applications for partial validation of foreign studies)
  • 2 places for the second year (in conjunction with applications for partial validation of foreign studies)
  • 2 places for the third year (in conjunction with applications for partial validation of foreign studies)
  • 4 places for the fourth year (in conjunction with applications for partial recognition of foreign studies)
  • 1 additional place for students with disabilities (in conjunction with applications for partial recognition of foreign studies)
