Enrolment

Next regulations are developed and they complement the general policy framework of the Academic Regulations of the Degree and Master’s studies “Normativa Acadèmica dels Estudis de Grau I Màster” of the UPC approved by the governing council, the 26th of May 2016. Following this regulation, the Academic Committee of the Master tries to give coherence to the curricular itinerary dedicated to the students that are beginning these studies for improving their performance.

This regulation will be applied to every student of the 2016-2017 term and will be checked by the Academic Committee of the Master every year.

Enrolment

It is a condition to obtain and submit the degree that gives access to the studies in order to be allowed to enroll in the master's degree program.

The curriculum of the MBArch consist of 15 ECTS of compulsory common subjects, 30 ECTS of elective subjects of the specialisation line and 15 ECTS of the final Master’s Thesis (TFM).

Based on this structure, there are three modalities of studying the Master:

  1. Option of studying the Master with a specialty. In this case, the student must pass a minimum of 25 ECTS of one line and a maximum of 30 ECTS of this line.
  2. Option of studying the Master without specialty, with a flexible and personalized itinerary, agreed between the tutor and the student. In this case, the curriculum must be composed by a minimum of 15 ECTS of the same line. In no case, the itinerary could reach 25 ECTS of subjects of the same line.
  3. Option of studying the Master with double specialisation, defined at the beginning of studies. In this case, the student must pass a minimum of 25 ECTS and a maximum of 30 ECTS of each and every specialisation line chosen.

In each of the 3 cases described above, the student has to indicate the chosen option in the Master’s enrolment which will be made annually. That is, at the beginning of the term the student has to make the enrolment of all the subjects taken in both terms, the first and the second one. The University will initiate a specific period when the student can change the second term enrolment before the beginning of its academic period. Students who has chosen double specialisation could only for one time and during the same period, ask for studying another specialisation line or changing to only one line of specialty. These cases will be solved by the Academic Committee of the Master (Comissió Acadèmica del Màster) which would take the final report of the tutor of the student into consideration. In no case, it could be possible to choose double specialisation once that the student is registered and taking the TFM (Master’s Thesis).

The student has two options of enrolment of the Master, part-time or full-time. In each case, the enrolment must follow the curriculum described below:
